Guest guest
You can use cow milk to make SCD yogurt. Whether you start with raw milk or pasteurized milk, you follow the same directions.... and heat the milk to 180 degrees F, cool it, add starter and ferment 24 hrs. The only reason we suggest beginning with goat dairy here is that many of the ASD children have issues with cow dairy. Patti raw milk yogurt? Is there anyone who has had luck making the SCD yogurt with raw Jersey milk instead of goat's milk? I know pecanbread.com recommends the goat's milk over the cow's milk, but the goat yogurt just isn't palatable in my house. I'm wondering if raw cow's milk yogurt might be better than no yogurt at all.
