Guest guest
Children may get dramatic neurological improvement at any age with SCD. Some of the adults that Pam Ferro RN has treated changed from violent to loving after being on SCD. I never meant to say that a child may not recover from ASD if he is older than 5. Sorry folks if there was a misunderstanding. I moved a lot as a child and went to schools in different languages. The result is the following:I am unable to write clearly in a any language. When I discussed the results of the children on the SCD-list@longisland,there were only three children who were over 5. One was able to be mainstreaned, one cheated a lot so we cannot use him as an example, and the other one was 8. The two who complied had very profound heurological changes. I never kept up with the parents of the one who was mainstreamed,so I do not know if he eventually recovered. The girl who was 8 is home schooled and has not yet recovered .. It is easy to know that a yonger child recovers because it may happen in less than a year and the parents are still on the list. However, older children take a longer time to catch up and the parents have disappeared from the list...... No one is keeping tract of recovery rates. I wish some one would volunteer to do that.
