Guest guest Posted July 3, 2003 Report Share Posted July 3, 2003 I agree , and it seems the first few breaths off the neb start to open (you or or whoever is doing it)up, and then you get more of the medication down deep into the lungs where it is needed. Also doing albuterol before Tobi or pulmozyme helps get those meds down in deeper since the lungs are all nicely opened up (or as good as they get) and so (you or or whoever) can get those lovely expensive meds deeper into the lungs where they are needed. Does that make sense? prefers to do a breathing treatment even though the inhaler is easier and faster. she just uses the inhaler if she's caught out and gets short of breath or starts to cough or wheeze. I would imagine if the person (I forget who you are) whose baby was just prescribed the inhaler will be eventually prescribed a nebulizer. love, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
