Guest guest
thanks for your response. I am taking lortab 10/500 every 4-6 hrs. It take the pain level down to a tolerable level. I had some wonderfull co-workers who gave me a get well package that included this thing that you can heat in the microwave for 3min and it stays warm up to 30min. I use that constantly and also do the pillow thing. It seems like with every panc attack the recovery period takes longer. I hate this becuase I'm use to being very active. Guest guest
Patty, I can totally understand. I was VERY active before June of 2002. Unfortunately as the disease progresses you will find that you will be less able to some things. I used to go camping and fishing with my husband and two boys all the time. Since June of 2002 we have only been once and that was last month for hubbies b-day and we stayed in a cabin so I could have the bathroom near by. You will adjust and learn to make allowances for yourself. I am not sure what Lortab is but I think it is pretty heavy duty stuff. I am sorry that it doesn't take all of your pain away. I take Percocet for my pain now, I have had to slowing go up on my pain meds as they stop being as effective. In the beginning 1 Vicoden would knock me for a loop now they just make me hyper and they don't do anything for the pain, I than went up to Norco, and now they don't help anymore. I don't know if it because I have built a tolerance to them or if the pain is just that much worse. I now I have severe pain much more often than I did back in 2002. I wish you the best and I hope you are well enough to get back to work soon. Again good luck with the Dr. on the 30th. Guest guest
Hi Thanks for your response. I didn't have very good news at my post-op visit. The doctor wants to see me in another 2 weeks to decide my treatment since the pain meds are not helping much. 1. he could put some kind of pump in my abdomen that will continuous provide pain med. 2. is to do a nerve resection. I am a little upset because on my disability papers I thought this would be short term and I would be feeling as good as I did before the procedure. The doctor said it is possible this disability will be long term. I gotta stay positive Thanks Patty J
