Guest guest
Hi all: I have been lurking and not posting lately. Things are wild. My dad had major surgery for an aortic aneurysm and that has taken most of my time. Things are fine now. With all the talk of flu and flu shots and just flu in general I feel I need to remind everyone about the " mycin " group of antibiotics. Do not take any antibiotic from the " mycin " group as they can and they DO cause pancreatitis. I have had it twice from them and almost died. Sounds funny I should even think of this but there are lots of doctors out there who will give em out, never think etc. Then there are the docs who just hand em out regardless if you have a virus and not a bacteria. What do they hand out? Mostly the " Z-PAK " or Zithromycin! Deadly stuff if you have chronic pancreatitis or any pancreas problem. Also Dynabec is another. It is one that you take like the Z-pak for three or four days. This is dirithromycin another " mycin " drug. Always make sure you don't get hold of any of these kinds of antibiotics. Just thought I would add that in light of the flu season and the rush of antibiotic prescriptions! Take care all Kaye
