just the beginning

I'm surre this is just the beginning of all this. has been doing

well sicne his sinus surgery in May. He is off the TOBI now and we go to

clinic on the fifteenth for his annual. We don not foresee any problems

there.

But here is another story. On Friday morning woke up gasping for

air and was standing by the toilet. I could hear that he had mucus and gunk

in his throat. Finally he threw it up and was fine. I know that it will not

be the last time. He had heaved so hard that he burst blood vessels under

his eyes.

Yesterday it was rather warm here in Wyoming (94*), just last week we needed

the heat..........go figure. When it is that hot i do not allow the kids out

between ten and late afternoon, for obvious reasons. Usually is

sucking down the Gatorade but he seemed to not be doing it yesterday. About

three i was out talking to the neighbor and and Brenna came out and

he complained of not feeling good and was more whiny than usual. I felt him,

but remember it is 94 out, he felt warm but so did I. We get him some

Gatorade and leave to go pick up my dog from the vet. We weren't out more

than ten minutes. In the vet's office he wanted held and was crying most of

the time. I decide that Brenna wasn't going to karate and we headed home.

Half way home he loses it. Red Gatorade all over the new truck. He started

crying and we sped home. He was worried his dad would be mad at him for

getting it all over the truck. I reassured him that we would get it cleaned

up and he wasn't going to get into trouble. WHen we got home I put him in

the bath and took his temp. 102.3* under the arm. We called the doc and they

said either heat or flu. But the fever went as quickly as it came, so it was

the heat. Just amazing how quick it came on.
