Love, w Wisconsin Hi , I am so sorry you are having so many illnesses going on all at once. It seems that is always the case though. I hope you get everything straightened out soon. I am relieved that you will be seeing your cardiologist before you let the endo doctors do anything to you. Hang in there. I know that you are under a lot of stress. Are you progressing to larger stents preparing for a peustow surgery? I was planning on having the peustow and progressed with the stents right up to the point of the metal stent. The stent of no return. If you are going to have the metal stent I just wanted you to know that once it is placed in the duct it can only be removed with surgery. I wouldn't want to have the metal stent placed with other problems needing care first. What hospital are you using for your endo? Who is your doctor? I see in the subject line UC but you are from Wisconsin. Did you go to the University of Cincinnati? I go there for some illnesses but I don't like a lot of their doctors. Especially gastroenterologist. I know that everything will work out for you . Try to take one day at a time as Peg always says. I try to take one day at a time but that is very hard for me. I am a real worrier. I will be sure to keep you in my prayers. Please keep us updated on what the doctors have to say about you and what test etc. they have you take. Take care of yourself and those prayers will be coming your way. Shirley

Guest guest
: I cannot believe some of these doctors. I've been reading the Merck Manual (home edition) here at home (always wanted to be nurse!!), and I MYSELF (read: layman) have read about pancreas problems being indicated when there are problems with the adrenal glands. And for them to be suspicious of the place where you have a graft? Don't they read a person's " file " ? AND, don't they read up on medical stuff since becoming MDs?? Sorry to be so down on the doctors, but from some of the stuff I've read here and the way they are being with me just seems ENTIRELY unsatisfactory!!! When there is such a risky thing involved especially in your situation, it would seem to me that these things would have already been considered. They cannot just focus on their one specialty w/o taking into consideration other precipating factors.......I'll scream with you... My best wishes and prayers are with you > Good Morning!!!! > AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Well, my appointment on Wed. was very > interesting. I never dreamed things could get worse. Guest guest
, I am glad you are doing well. Is the first time you have had the stents? I am supposed to be getting this done soon and have the bile duct cut too. I am kind of scared. Can you e-mail me and tell me a little more about the process? Did you have to stay in the hospital after this was done? Did you get allot of pain relief? Please e-mail me and let me know how it worked for you okay? Guest guest
, I am praying for you and I have lit a St. Jude candle for you. St Jude is my patron saint and I always light one of the candle's with his picture on it when a friend or family members need help. St Jude is supposed to be the patron Saint of those in need. Guest guest
Yikes, I've had those needle biopsies and they aren't fun.Mine turned out okay. Luckily I had mine done before I was put on coumadin and had heart problems. I wouldn't have it done while you were on coumadin as you'd be bleeding a lot, so you'd probably have to go on daily shots of lovonox/heparin before they allowed it. Definitely consult with your cardiologist for any type of surgery or biopsy, just to be on the safe side. It certainly sounds scary and you need to watch out for that graft (I've had a heart bypass, so I can understand your concern for things like that). You are definitely in my prayers and I hope everything works out. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
, whenever I go see a doctor, especially a new doctor, I give them a 10 page document that is a synopsis of my health problems. I have a page for prescriptions, diagnoses, allergies, surgeries, cases of pancreatitis, current doctors, old doctors, etc. They are usually very happy to see this because they can get a sense of my health problems without having to constantly search it through my file, though I make sure they've read that too.
