Guest guest
I just came across this old email and I don't know if anyone responded that green peas are high in excitotoxins so it might be good to limit them for this reason. --- Sheila Trenholm wrote: > Hi Angie, > > > Thanks, Sheila. Guest guest
green peas are excitotoxins? I did not know about this idea. Is it part of SCD and Elaine's book or is it from another source? If it is from another source, I would like to know where so that I can investigate further for myself. Thanks. Alwats check your book or the legal/illegal lists on our web sites. Unfortunately too many other ideas get presented that confuse people. As Sheila said, pea flour (and also bean flour) are not legal. Peas are a sweet vegetable but that never stopped me from including them. Everything is suggested in moderation and the ideal is a balanced menu. Carol F. Celiac, MCS, Latex Allergy, EMS SCD 6 years
Guest guest
Sheril, The reference to excitotoxins might be from Dr. Blaylock's book. You can do a net search and read much more about the subject. His theories are not at all part of SCD. Green peas are definitely legal here, although not for brand new beginners.
