I'm so happy for you that it has all worked out. I can understand your

fathers fear so I'm doubly glad that he is pushing that aside for you (it's

probably really hard to do) I hope my former post did not offend you, I

misunderstood and now from your post realize that he had not backed down from

Has he read any posts from post-ops?? I think that would help him

feel better. I read a bunch of them to my mom and she wanted to know if

these were real people or did the doctor put these people on here just to

make it sound good cause she just couldn't believe what she was hearing!

LOL! I assured her that yes, everyone was real!

I know it must be hard to accept the money knowing he doesn't approve but

hopefully time will change that. I am glad that you are still able to have

the surgery! Best of luck to you!!

Hey

He did look at your site. He saw the pictures of the 5 portholes and

staples and said he was scared. I said " Did you see the other pictures of

the other surgeries? At least their not like that " He is just scared, I sent

him Amy Poe's post, maybe that will help.

Can you get him on the internet and get him to look at my website? Take

the mystery out of it for him, maybe that will help.

He just loves you. If you were my daughter, I'd be worried, too.

Somebody asked me if I would support this surgery for one of my

children. Yes, I would, but it would still scare me to death with worry

for them during the surgery (any surgery, not just this one).

Also, there are two mothers on here whose daughters had the surgery.

Maybe they could email him, because they already have been there.

Hey, he's your dad. Like I said, I'd support my child having the

surgery, but I'd still be worried -- you just can't get around that.
