OT - liquid zeolite

A friend of mine is going to try this product with her two autistic boys...

and I must say after googling for some time and reading up on this product, I'm

thinking it might help my youngest with the candida and probably toxic metal

issues we have (since he's immunization damaged).

I preface this with the fact that I'm very much pro SCD and do believe in it

with as little outside intervention as possible - and I'm extremely leery of

chelation. But this is almost too convincing to ignore, based on what I've read.

The articles and info just go on and on and on when I google 'liquid zeolite

candida, liquid zeolite autism, or just 'liquid zeolite' I get tons of info

about how it's anti candida, anti bacterial, anti parasite... removes toxins and

heavy metals... etc... have any of you heard of this??? I'm excited and leery at

the same time...

It may be our personal belief...but we will wait, to see if KiKi ever even needs

chelation therapies. Many autistic kids who have healed with just SCDiet, never

needed it. Elaine wanted the gut to heal completely in an autistic child before

chelation was even attempted. This means a minimum of one year and sometimes

longer. Chelation can cause yeast to come back and get the bad gut guys out of

balance...thus causing SCD not to work, also causing many set backs once

chelation treatment is done with. Giving the impression of false Hope because

of good results, but sine the gut is still damaged, the poor child stays

sick....just to chelate again and again.....this in itself become a vicous cycle

from what I have read.

Of course they want to sound convincing OMO....they want to sell you their drug.

LOL! SCDiet if followed the way Elaine prescribed can get the same results...no

yeasty beasties, and the gut flora goes back into balance, and the bodies innate

ability to detox comes back, thus being able to expel heavy metals, like any

healthier person. If I was you I would book mark this, and come back to it in a

year to see if you still need it. Nothing is a magic bullet and SCD takes time

to heal....we all need patience including us.

Hi Robbie,

The naturopath put my son (and myself & daughter) on this since last

January or so and I had not seen any noticable difference in

stomach, behavior, mood or better immunity. We recently stopped use

after my son was having night waking with very bad stomach upset.

The ND felt Cody was having liver stress since he had recently been

through antibiotics for bacteria & parasites. I saw a thread on

's yahoo group list about zeolite, did further research and

decided to discontinue the use. The day we stopped the zeolite and

added milk thistle the night wakings/diarrhea stopped.

The thread about zeolite at 's group site:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/who_knows/message/5871

You'll want to start from the bottom up in reading it.

I don't know if it was working too well for him and detoxing too

fast or if it's just very watered down clay that costs an outrageous

$45 per tiny tiny- 15 ml- bottle & another waste of hard earned

money?

The ND says it has helped many people, even one person who is only

using it for cancer- but she is often puzzled when my son doesn't

respond to things adults do. I think a lot of it is that he's too

young and straightforward in expressing how he feels for the placebo

effect many of these miracle products exert on grownups.

Janet, mom to Cody- SCD since 4-17-06

Hey Robbie,

I started trying this with my son in late April... I can't say I've seen a big

difference... but it's worth a try...doesn't look like it can hurt... and others

have seen big improvements.
