Chrissy,

Thanks for your comments about Whitcomb's upcoming study. I didn't know

about that, and will have Northup call him right away and see if perhaps I can

get into this study. My doc just talked with Whitcomb back in October, but it

wasn't about me. I don't think he's aware of the new study being done or he

probably would have mentioned it to me.

Lily....maybe that roadtrip will be sooner than we thought! (See above). It

would be wonderful, though, if I could combine some good time with a friend

into this journey...you are truly a wonderful example of the support that I'm

always touting that this group has.

Chrissy, I'm glad that your peg is getting more comfortable...(Heidi says,

thinking that somehow, NOTHING coming unnaturally out of one's body could

ever be " comfortable " !) Could your doctor's apathy, perhaps, just be his way

of trying to not get you too upset and worried about this procedure? Isn't he

always sort of calm and unpassionate about things? I feel certain that he is

very concerned about you, and does want to find the best solution to your

problem, and feels that this is it. It seems as though you have no other

choice, and realizing this, he is perhaps dealing with it more clinically than

emotionally.

I hope you're able to sleep well. I am still having my sweating problems, in

spite of the new medication that only worked for a week or so before the

sweating began all over again. I wake at night and wonder who else is sitting

there at 3:00 am, awake and in pain? The lack of sleep can be so

wearying...hahaha! You will need the sleep, and all your strength, to get

through these next weeks.

Have you talked with Angel Flight? If they could help you, you wouldn't need

to worry about the commercial flight costs. I think you need to get in touch

with them and see what they could do to help you.
