I'd like to cover it take the take the plastic cover off one of your G3 and put it on the one you want to wear,, if you take the battery cover off, yank the hook out, and you can pull out the plastic over. (dont forget to replace the hook and cover) hope my " how to " is clear. (trying to decribe to help you) Lee

Guest guest
Hi - You should find " Moleskin " at any drugstore - Rosemary in California N24 11/99 Moleskin One of my 3G's doesn't have a plastic covering over the earhook. Since the audi switched my 3G's, I'm now wearing the one that doesn't have the plastic covering. It's now digging into my skin and is painful. I'd like to cover it (or the area above my ear) with moleskin until I see my audi next week. Anyone know where I can find it? Can moleskin be purchased at a drugstore like Walgreen's? Something else you might try is a wide headband (I know you said your hair was long). My ear was really sore right around my surgical scar for a few weeks and I just tucked the processor in it. My hair is short so it looked funny but it worked and gave my ear some relief. I'm learning to answer the phone at home(haven't done that for 10 years) and one day I forgot it was in the headband and answered the phone; I thought something was broken; I'm shouting " Hello, Hello " into the phone and no one was there!! Felt really dumb; thank goodness it was just my husband. Try it. Andi
Guest guest
Thanks, Rosemary. I *know* I have an old e-mail message somewhere on my computer with this information, but I couldn't find it. If I had to guess, I have over 300 e-mails in my folder. (And that's a conservative estimate.) <smile> Thanks again! Guest guest
Lee, I had no problem understanding your description. Thanks! (I didn't know the hook was removable.) I just took the plastic cover off one 3G and put it on the other and it feels much better. Thanks for your help! Guest guest
Andi, LOL! I really like your idea about the headband. I have quite a few of them here and will give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion! <smile> Implanted: 12/22/04 Activated: 1/18/05 Deafblind/Postlingual BTE hearing aid user 20 years Severe-profound hearing loss 10 years
Guest guest
You will get several of these plastic soft hook covers in your package of accessories. I can't imagine why they haven't given them to you yet. Maybe waiting to explain their use to you one step at a time.. but you need these so ask for them. Guest guest
Pam, My audi said I don't need to worry about the accessories last week because she wanted me to spend time getting used to listening with my CI. However when I see her next week, I will ask her for all of my accessories -- especially since I'm eager to try a patch cord with my TV and stereo. Guest guest
, if you have the address, can you post it? If a bunch of people write about it, then they might be more willing to consider it. Cool idea!!! Noelle (12-2-01)Ian (8-15-04) Moleskin Hey Everyone,Just wanted to tell you what I did this AM. I'm sure and thinks I'm a crazy mom, but I called them and asked them tomake fun graphic moleskin like Dora, camo, flowers etc, so it wouldbe a little more fun for these kids. They make the fun graphic bandaids, and also make the regular moleskin, so why not combine theideas! The women I spoke to thought it was great idea and asked me towrite a letter explaining what I wanted and told me who to direct itto. So I did. We'll see if anyone ever responds or if anything ever comes of it.I'll let you know. I feel a little obsessed with Cole's cast and wantto make the best of it. Guest guest
Hi, the sticky side goes on the processor and won't damage it at all. The soft moleskin side goes next to your skin and should help relieve irritation there. Good luck! ) Jackie ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
Guest guest
We had a tiny patch put on an area of the helmet after it was tapered and shaved down that was causing an imprint in his head. I wanted to know if that's equally easy to clean (which I don't think is and forgot to ask) and if there is someone that had the entire helmet coated I want to know how that works out because it just seems softer but more apt to keep in smells..
