Guest guest
Kristi: Whoops, I'm not reading stuff in order, here. > Dr. R is saying that IF I am going to be taking > methotrexate for long term I need all these tests. Oh, I thought you were talking about his reluctance because of possible EXISTING liver damage and that if the specialists said 'okay' he'd go ahead. I thought you had a solution and couldn't see it cuz you were upset. Having a date would make all of us feel better, wouldn't it? You're much further along in the process than I am and I guess I was just responding to your palpable despair. I could just FEEL it. Guest guest
Constipation is not uncommon in the beginning, even for those who did not have this issue before. There is a constipation protocol on Elaine's website: www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info under C in the " Knowledge Base " . If you are new to SCD, there are many changes going on and symptoms will vary until the gut has had time to heal more ... and the gut flora become more balanced... then everything can start " moving more smoothly " (pardon the pun). Patti, mom to Katera, SCD 2003-04... and now since 5/27/06... for support of seizure control. Clarification When I wrote " keep up with this " I meant the cow's milk yogurt. Also, one more question. I became a little constipated the other other day (cheese) and wondered if this could have brought on a return of the painful back symptoms. I noticed this is often one of the triggers. Thanks again. Guest guest
> Dear Patti, So true!!! For a few days in the beginning I felt like my food was just laying there and not going down. It was as if my digestion slowed down, but as I continued on and added SLOWLY the yogurt it really helped with digestion (even in very small incriments). There's so many subtle changes taking place. It's pretty amazing. Thanks again, Ronnie > Constipation is not uncommon in the beginning, even for those who did not have this issue before.
