Yes it is interchangeable although the pecan seems to have more fat in it. > > Carol F. Celiac, MCS, Latex Allergy, EMS SCD 6 years
Guest guest
Dear and Lynn: When deciding between the two flours, has your child been tested for any allergies, also does the child have hyperactivity or a sensitivity to salicylates? You may not know the answers to these questions but I will tell you my personal experience. My child who has ADHD is very hyper with almond flour, so I try to use a variety of the others. Unfortunately, my favorite for recipes is almond. I, too, like the pecan flour for the breads and for breading fish. Hazelnut is expensive but much lower in salicilates then almond and excellent in all recipes. My daughter tested positive to a skin test for cashews - so I only rarely use this flour - even though I really haven't noticed a reaction. I use it in only one cookie recipe I make about once every two months. Hope this helps, Eileen Brown uc SCD 12/04 ADHD daughter SCD 9/
