Guest guest
I will be @ the pc all day here @ mum's house. I took my daughter Kali for skin testing yesterday. She is allergic to spinach, horses, almonds, cashews, feathers, cinnamon, tomatoes, milk, strawberries and sesame. I have had her on SCD since May 16, 2005. I have been using almond and cashew flours. I cannot find coconut flour around here. Do any of you make your own? What do you use? I used nut yogurt at first and then switched to the goat yogurt with still some allergy effects but, not too bad at all. Looks like I may have to back up again here. SCD really has made a huge difference in many areas of our lives. Sleeping, focus, calm, potty training, allergic reactions and behavior as well as no more ear infections or tubes in ears. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I'm a little rusty here and having a b'day party for her on Sun. NEED A CAKE!! Thanks so much for all your help and support. Kali will be mainstreamed into a first grade classroom in Jan. this year!! Horray!! Still a way to go but, going like a rocket!! Guest guest
How about pecan flour? Or hazelnut? Those two nuts are often tolerated well before almonds and cashews anyway. You may have to make your own, with a food processer. Macadamia nuts are good, too.... ground fine, but not tooooo fine, or you'll end up with nut butter, because they are really high in fat. Tasty, though. Happy Birthday, Kali! Patti Need some suggestions old and new friends.... I will be @ the pc all day here @ mum's house. I took my daughter Kali for skin testing yesterday. She is allergic to spinach, horses, almonds, cashews, feathers, cinnamon, tomatoes, milk, strawberries and sesame. She may eventually tolerate some of those things but I would not include horses or feathers in any SCD recopes LOL. I gor a special casing for my down duvet and it works. They have them for pillows too. You are still left with plenty of food options even though you have to exclude the list above. Can you use blueberries, raspberries, grapes, bananas and other fuits? There are other green veggies instead of spinach, broccoli, asparagus, string beans and others. You can try other nuts like pecan and macadamia. Carol F.
