Guest guest
I honestly don't know about this. I hope some of our Canadian list members can help you. Patti Is floractin a legal acidophilus? It has the following live bacteria in it L. acidophilus l. rhamnosus B. longum I am from Canada and do not order from the net. I am having a hard time finding any other acidophilus. Praying this one is OK! Thanks Pamela For information on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, please read the book _Breaking the Vicious Cycle_ by Elaine Gottschall and read the following websites: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info and http://www.pecanbread.com
Guest guest
As far as I know, we are only to use acidophilus... and s.boulardii was declared to be okay. I seem to be missing a beat with a few things around here lately, though... so I will defer to someone else's wisdom on this. Patti Re: Is floractin a legal acidophilus? I am curious to see some response to this too. In looking through the book and the web site, I haven't yet found the complete info on what are the legal cultures or bacterial strains that we can use. (well, maybe I have and not even realized it--I've been reading and researching all the time and not getting enough sleep to keep on focusing. But my GABA from Kirkman labs showed up, so maybe I'll be able to get some sleep and focus better soon, after this rather long bout of insomnia.) Floractin is not a legal probiotic because along with the L. acidophilus is Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Bifidobacterium longum. Elaine preferred we only use L. acidophilus in a probiotic form (at a max. of 3 billion CFU's/day). Some legal probiotics can be found at http://www.pecanbread.com/probiotics.html#brands Since you don't order on the web: The lyosan probiotic is based in Quesbec. Perhaps you can order by phone. There mailing address and phone number can be found at http://www.lyo-san.ca/english/profil.html (I order my yogurt starter from them.) Guest guest
Thanks so much Sheila! Sure wish I could find those at a store! I have asked a biochemist that makes stuff if he could get me this. Waiting to here back. In the meantime is NOTHING better or should I give the floractin? Thanks so much for all the help! Cheers! The floractin is SCD illegal, and since it contains bifidum bacteria you'd probably be better off without it. Once you stop you'll probably experience more die off. Please check out " Bifidus " at the " The Knowledge Base " at http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/ Many have reported bifidum related problems on the SCD. Bifidum bacteria tend to take over or overgrow in the body. Sheila, SCD 2/01, UC 22yrs mom of and
