Guest guest
, Thank you soooo much for your imput on this. You are a insperation to me!!! I will cut my caffiene intake in half and ween myself off of this dreadful addiction. As for smoking, I hate smoking. Now it's just the addiction to it. I hate the smell, the cost, the inconvenience, everything about it, it is not enjoyable anymore. I will do anything to help myself to get through this surgery if I am selected. I do not have children right now, but I don't think I could have any children at the weight I am now anyway! This is another reason for this surgery for me. I love kids!! And one day I would like to have children of my own. P.S. As for the post I made about the therapist....I have an appointment on Friday at 10:00AM. Thank you so much for your imput!! Guest guest
, please try not to smoke, the entire purpose of this is to GET HEALTHY!!! I am a former smoker and only was able to stop after a bad illness in February, I had a bad staph infection after surgery and was on morphine, and that was the only way I could stop. I can't imagine smoking after the surgery because I believe it will hurt hour stomach badly. Don't forget, when you smoke it gets into your stomach. Also, I started weaning myself off caffeine weeks before surgery. YOU CAN DO IT. Start with half of what you normally took in and after one week of that, start cutting that down. After the surgery, you will have malabsorbtion of nutrients in your body, caffeine depletes those nutrients further and you could suffer great health problems. You won't need the caffeine for the energy once the weight starts coming off and you are not full with food to slow you down. Believe me, I did the same exact thing for energy. Also, weighing less and eating healthy and not smoking and no caffeine and exercise will make you live MUCH longer. Do you have kids, do it FOR THEM!!!! Nothing is easy for us to do for ourselves, but for our kids we will do anything. Or do it for you family and friends a favor and most especially, do it for you. You know God gave you the house of your body and we need to keep it in good shape for him. Also, the surgery can kill you as far as repercussions are concerned. However, I believe the end justifies the means. GO FOR IT!!!!! More Questions... Hey Everybody! I'm sorry I have so many questions, but here goes a few more... 1. How many people here still smoke after surgery? I know this is personal, but I smoke now and I want to know how some of you dealt with it. 2. I'm not proud of this, but I take atleast 3 Goody Powders a day. It is an addiction (caffiene). I know I have to stop taking Goody's, but what about caffiene? Do I need to come of caffiene all together before surgery? 3. What did Dr. R. say about how long you live with this surgery? I have not heard anything about this and I would like to know if in your consultation with him if this surgery has major repercussions at an older age? Thanks in advance!
