Guest guest
Has anyone ever had their child's stool analyzed through Great Smokey Labs? We are preparing to do the CDSA 2.0 to check for bowel problems and yeast and other parasites. I was wondering if anyone had this done and what their experience was. Also the doctor that order this testing is a really good doc. She has twin boys with autism. Finally found a decent doctor in the Indiana/Kentucky area. Hooray. Thanks. Guest guest
Hi April, We had my son's stool analyzed through Great Smokey Lab . I am impressed with them. I was told they are one of the best labs. My doctor now orders the same test to check for inflammation, were before he did not. Thats great you found a good doctor. Good luck, Belle april cullins wrote: Has anyone ever had their child's stool analyzed through Great Smokey Labs? Guest guest
April, Who is your KY/IN doctor? We live in the Louisville area and would love to have the name of a good doctor. Beth
Guest guest
Our new doctor is: (I hope its ok to post names here!) R. Trinkle (Iriquiois area) Louisville, Kentucky. She listened to me. She took a complete history. She took over an hour with me. She schedules two time slots for her autism patients. She is a family practitioner. She knows her stuff but advocates for GF/CF. She recommends oxypowder to clean out colon, lg and sm intestines. She gets new patients with autism about every 3 or 4 months. Super personable and willing to help with traditional and non-traditional. The school has bugged me senseless to get my son on some kind of meds and she said this is her recommendation for the " traditional " med part. We are going on a trial of Paxil and doing a stool analysis. That's a dirty job, no pun intended! She is all about options. She said in a month we can discuss supplements, diets, etc. She advocates one strict month on GF/Cf to see for real results if any. She isn't against SCD but she doesn't practice it. She found the diet that works for her. I believe she has another child. She knows what its like. She's been there. She says my son is more high functioning than her sons. I just felt like telling her that I loved her and was so glad to find her. I'm really not a wacko mom afterall. What does the group think about Paxil 10mg for an almost 8 yr old with bowel issues, poss. OCD and anxiety, sleep issues? Makes me nervous but if it will help I will do it. He loves the 24 hour yogurt. We are still in the process of getting illegals out of the house and i " m dying for a pepsi or a candybar!!!!!!! April mom to Matt 7yo. multiple issues. Bad gut issues. Yogurt lover and a patient of a great new doc! :-) __________________________________________________
