Awi,

In this case, I would suggest the almond flour is your culprit. He may not be

able to digest it well yet. Pull it for a couple of days and see if that makes a

difference. You could start with nut butters in place of the nut flour in some

of those recipes. It's easier to digest.

how long before we get formed poop?

Hi everyone!

My son has been on SCD for almost a month now but unfortunately, his

poop is still mushy. He basically eats veggies/chicken/meat for his

meals and cookies and cakes made from almond flour for a month now.

When can I expect formed stools? Would like to hear your experiences...

For my son, it took about twelve weeks to get them consistently. We allowed him

fruit from almost the beginning, though, so that may have slowed our progress.

Baker's and Pangborn's book (on biomedical interventions for autism) includes a

section on SCD. Many of Dr. Baker's patients saw improvements only after 60-90

days.
