Guest guest Posted February 15, 2002 Report Share Posted February 15, 2002 To all those who have decided to join the exercise group just want to say that if you are going to walk, please, start out slowly. A person doesn't have to speed walk to get the benefits of walking. A little ways each day is great and slowly increase the distance. I use a cane when I go because I am sometimes unsteady on my feet, plus, it is great for beating off the dogs if there are any running loose in the neighbor hood. LOL. Actually, I am so scared of dogs that if I see one a block a way I turn around and go the other direction. Glad to see so many in the group who are already into some form of exercise. I can't begin to say how much better I feel when I do it. Have been at it for 15 years and don't plan to quit till I simply can't get out of bed. Love, Marilyn K.
