Hi everyone,

I have been searching the archives to see if anyone reports success

with using a dehydrator to make snacks for their kids. I need some

non-protein, crunchy snacks for my 9-year-old.

Does anyone have kids who like dehydrated vegetables and fruits?

Which fruits and veggies work best for snacks? thanks.

Suzanne,

Dehydrators are used to make fruit leather, beef jerky. banana chips,

and all sorts of other things. They are useful for crisping baked

goods like crackers and cookies too.

Hi Carol,

I checked those sites again and found very little info on dehydrating

veggies and fruits (other than some recommended dehydrators). Anywhere

else I can look?

Suzanne,

I googled this info and it has general information and recipes but you

will have to make the recipes SCD compliant by eliminating restricted

foods and making appropriate substitutions.
