Guest guest
(moderators: I know this is off topic, just my quick comment on our experience.) My son had a huge regression after hernia surgery w/ nitrous oxide. He started having night waking again, leg cramps and worsening of stomach issues. He got big circles under his eyes, very draggy and droopy, whiny. He also seemed to develop a lot of new food sensitivities all at once. Followup urinary metabolic testing months later showed high need for B12 and folic acid, glutathione, vit c, etc, all nuerotransmitter levels way off and a very disrupted krebs cycle. He started methyl B12 shots & folinic acid and the leg cramps decreased after several weeks, he started sleeping again and he had a big jump in speech improvement. It took almost a year to get him straightened back to the point he was before surgery (which admittedly wasn't that great health-wise). I refused nitrous oxide and valium for getting my wisdom teeth out last year. Just the novacain did fine, but of course they thought I was nuts! Some dentists also use n. oxide for filling kids teeth. Mine did when I was a kid and I hated the spinning, floating, out of control feeling it gave me. I was very busy spinning and floating at the dentist while he hammered in those ---- mercury fillings. Now I'm no longer floating, just spinning Carol F. Guest guest
Thanks for everyone's suggestions and advice....My son is already on MB12 shots ----maybe he needs them more frequently.....Poor fellow--he is so nervous that his brain is racing and he can't even sit still....My brain is racing trying to figure it out. The sad thing is that I have 2 very well-known DAN docs on board and they don't seem to know what to think either!
