Guest guest
Dear Sandy thank you for this post on BUBBLES having illegals in them! Our speech therapist JUST YESTURDAY brought " edible bubbles " into the house...Kiki was not all that interested in them. THANK GOD...she just looked at them! Although Kiki has not gotten the chance to eat them yet, I will tell the speech lady no more " edible " bubbles! Sometimes I feel like this list serve is a gaurdian angel of some type! WOW what a GODINCIDENCE to just have learned this today! That is all we need is a bubble regression right now...regressions as you guys know often end in the hospital for us! THANK YOU for saving KIKI! Antoinette (celiac) mom to Kiki-2 (celiac autistic) SCD 2/
Guest guest
Antoinette, You must lay down boundaries with people, even if they are therapists. You can't forsee every possible circumstance, so tell anyone working with Kiki or entering your home, if they bring materials, they must approve them through you first, simply say because of allergies, and leave it there. I had to do that with my neighbors as well, not leave soda cans outside or on the corner of our lawn, no passing of items through the fence, and what not. The fact is, it is the rare person observant enough to be heedful around people with allergies...you have to put out a blinking neon sign for the rest of them. This actually improves relationships, as there are not bad feelings when an issue is out in the open, and nothing stirring under the surface, and less chance for infractions for our children. You are not weird, you are not different, you have boundaries people need to see and respect as you do for others. Afterall, the Star Belly Sneetches and the Sneetches With None Upon Thars are all the same. Equals. Why does one group of Sneetches feel bad? I am feeling a little Seussosophical.
