Guest guest
Hi: Just finished the intro again yesterday. Haven't " gone " since Sunday. Yikes! Bought some magnesium citrate/oxalate pills. Took one yesterday (300g), no movement. How much more could/should I take? I had been doing prunes (for about 3 weeks) before going back on the intro, and if I forgot to take the prunes, the problem came back (mostly slow-moving bowels, sometimes true C) I just read in a previous post that magnesium citrate might encourage yeast growth. Is that true? Thanks. Theresa (in Vancouver, BC, Canada) ps: I've added cooked veggies to my diet (just squash so far), so far no carbs (other than what's in the yogurt) to heal my skin yeast eruption. I'm 10 lbs. lighter than a few weeks ago, and could stand to lose another 30. T. > > Some kids do start SCD with constipation problems, rather than diarrhea.... both are signs of gut disbiosis. You're right, starting SCD can tend to increase problems with constipation. There is a " constipation protocol " on Elaine's website: www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info that you might want to be prepared to use. > > I also agree with on the use of magnesium citrate. Adding a few hundred mgs of that has helped my daughter tremendously. > > Patti
