Wear time - early removal?

Was anyone able to stop using the band early? Was it prompted by the

specialists recommendation or your satisfaction?

Our ped told my husband that one of his patients stopped wearing early

b/c the parents were satisfied.

I wanted to stop after 4 mo for my daughter's starband. I felt like

she had a lot of correction and I was okay with her head (and sick of

the band). I talked to my ortho and specialist and they both

recommended keeping it on until she outgrew it or I absolutely

couldn't take it any more. So I set my mind on one more month. I did

give her a few extra breaks that month when we went to a party etc,

but she still wore it 23 hours most days. At the end of the month she

had outgrown the band, her brachy had improved by another 2% and I was

soooo happy I had let them convince me to keep it on. Now I still see

some small problems with her head, and can't imagine stopping before

she got the most correction possible from her band.
