The only problem with the heating pad is the pain is either directly in the pancreas ie., behind the sternum, or it will radiate around the diaphragm as well...it also only hurts when I swallow, breathe too deep, hiccup or burp ! Gofiger..... :-) I'll try it anyway........can't hurt ! Thanx again, Chris

I'll bet everybody who read your previous post did indeed say a prayer or send positive thoughts your way. And while most of us are pretty experienced with pain and pain control, the most horrible pain I've ever had was an abcessed tooth. I can remember banging my head on the shower walls, just to try to block out the toothache for a few seconds. Hi It's been a while since we've heard from you! Thanks for your prayers, and those of all, for . She is doing well and didn't even want to leave the yard today, so perhaps she's learned something from that scare, after all. I do love our animals (we have two cats, too) and our pets have always been important parts of our family. My husband has a luggage tag attached to his bag so he can identify it among all the others that look identical....the tag is a picture of the older dog, Zeke, and I, sitting on the dock steps together. He tells everyone who asks that it's his " two favorite people " . Yeah, this abscessed tooth is a kicker. It's curious what you said about the pain you got from your abscessed tooth. Last month when I had my attack, my GI was trying to explain what CP pain felt like to my husband. He said that researchers said the three worst and most comparable types of pain were pancreas pain, the pain from an abscessed tooth and pain from a kidney stone. For people trying to understand, I guess the researcher's had figured that most people have had one of the other two sometime in their life. So it's no fun having two of the worst types of pain at the same time! It was good to hear from you again, I hope you're doing well. You can send along some of those lovely Hawaiian blue skies any time. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. PAI, Intl.
