It sounds like you may be holding back a bit on fruit because of yeast concerns. After tomorrow introduce some cooked vegetables for fiber--carrots, squash, green beans. Carol F. Guest guest
If he's on intro, raw fruit is out. Once he comes off intro.... it's STILL too soon for raw fruit. Everything needs to be peeled and cooked for a while. If he has any colonies of yeast or bacteria that die off during this re-starting process, there will be new, tender tissues in the intestinal lining that will be exposed once they leave. The raw foods are too difficult to digest yet. After intro, I think you could start yogurt.... a VERY small amount at a time, increase with caution. Patti day 2 of intro, starving child, constipated, when to start yogurt? Yesterday was first official day of intro (chicken soup, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, 2 bites of pot roast, lots of diluted white grape juice). My son says he is starving. He keeps asking for raw apples, pankcakes (Mida's gold with honey). We began intro diet because I suspect yeast, due to behavior. He has not had a bm in 3 days (going into day 4 now). We have been dairy-free for 3.5 years. I want to try goat yogurt this time to fight yeast and bacteria. When should I introduce it. Might the yogurt get his bowels moving?!! Will try to keep the intro going today in hopes of producing healthy bm, but he is sick of eggs and doesn't care for meat. He keeps asking for raw fruit: grapes, apples, oranges. I should avoid these right????? Thanks, Amy
