Guest guest
I need some advice regarding Shaelin's diet and malabsorbtion. He has never had really formed stools except on very rare occasions. When he does, I try to figure out what I might have done differently but never can. He is on Pancrecarb MS-8. He was recently increased from 3 to 4 with meals and 2 with snacks in addition to Zantac 75 mg bid (this is purely for absorbtion, not reflux)but the increase has made no difference. He often has 3 large, loose stools even before lunch. I have just tried to decrease milk in his diet which he had just started requesting. The only other beverage he will drink is water. He does have a lot of dairy including cheese, yogurt, etc in addition to the milk but I don't want to eleminate everything he will eat. I know I have read some posts in the past about different suggestion people have had for this but no longer remember what they were and didn't know what subject to even look up in the archives. His pulmonologist is going to have him evaluated by GI next month but I wanted to see what I could do in the meantime. Any suggestions would be welcome. Guest guest
Maybe he just needs a different brand of enzymes? I would ask about this first, to try to avoid extra dr's visits.
