At the risk of sounding just plain smug, I can only say that my cfer just

plain LOVED going for the check-ups and frankly wanted to go to mine

as well. These were the kid's only early childhood " science lessons! "

CF kid squalled to high heaven when I cut my foot and went off alone to

have it sutured, as it was rather late in the evening. When I returned,

this kid said, sobbingly, " You KNOW I always want to watch what they

do! " Funny, did not turn out to be a hypochondriac either; became a

scientist--to no one's surprise--so I am not much help here!
