Guest guest
Hi Mark, Thank you for your reply my partner has high protien and high carbs diet so maybe I should cut down the protien, he only has 2cm left of his pancreas and we have been told it will burnout within the next 2 years, but I was wondering if his pancreas could have little spirts of life and release some of it own insulin and could that effect his levels, is that possible? I don't know if you can help with this silly question. But once again thank you for you time. Hope you and your family are keeping well. Take care Vicky (UK)
Guest guest
It is possible that your pancreas could produce some insulin sure...I would eat better carbs though and eat good proteins.....such as chicken and fish...most can't tolerate red meat..but on occasion I can...if you can tolerate Red meat...make sure they are lean Red meat...such as Top Sirloin or the Tenderloin...very low in fat and has great protein. I hope this finds you and yours well.....btw...I don't have much of a pancreas left either and I have been waiting for burnout for about 15 years.....lol Mark To Mark Thank you > Hi Mark, > > Thank you for your reply my partner has high protien and high carbs > diet so maybe I should cut down the protien, he only has 2cm left > of his pancreas and we have been told it will burnout within the > next 2 years, but I was wondering if his pancreas could have little > spirts of life and release some of it own insulin and could that > effect his levels, is that possible? > > I don't know if you can help with this silly question. > > But once again thank you for you time. > > Hope you and your family are keeping well. > > Take care > > Vicky (UK) > > > > > > > >
