Sharon, I have only had a fiber optic scope of my throat and a High

resolution CT scan of my chest (which actually shows most of your throat too)

Also had a pulmonary function test. Don't know if there are more tests to

have since this is new to me.

I second the motion! For all who sent information

regarding throat involvement, thank you so much. One

more question--what tests did you have to confirm or

rule out throat involvement? I have had no baseline

testing for anything and am about ready to ask for

some. Not that my HMO will cover....but you never

know unless you ask. Take care, Sharon

Laryngeal involvement can be determined by a Pulmonologist during a flexible

bronchoscopy (out-patient) or by an ENT using a numbing spray and a scope

that can be done in-office. I've had both. My personal test is when I can

hear a snoring sound when I breath coming from that area. Most of the time

(when there's some inflammation) I hear/feel the snoring coming farther down

in my trach area. Since my Prednisone use is back up again, I not having

those symptoms, but praying for the strength to keep away from an

all-you-can-eat restaurant!

We RPer's not remember something....imagine that! I

am reading " The Program " by White. I only

started it last night, but am enjoying it very much.

I like Dr. Alan and . Just finished one

called " The Incumbent " , but can't remember who wrote

it. It was really good too.

I'm trying to rest, but just feel like crap for some

reason. So tired it feels like I am swimming in

concrete! Thought taking a walk would energize me

this morning, but it just made me more tired.

Hey, if you ever get up this way and don't meet me I

will have to borrow the pointy toed shoes and kick

your behind! I'd love to meet you! Think of the fun

we could have in the used book stores!

Take care and I hope you are feeling better tonight.

Love, Sharon
