Guest guest
Suz: The thought has crossed my mind, especially yesterday when a new doctor thought it very odd that my first exploratory (???) surgery did not find my gall bladder to be very infected, with stones and sludge(cholengytis) . And one month later, all of a sudden it went from completely normal to very infected. They missed it, or didn't even look at it. And then to make matters worse, they never contemplated the fact that pain after removal of a very infected gall bladder full of stones and sludge, might possibly be due to some of that gook passed down into my pancreatic duct. Because they did not see a stone per se, they dismissed me, and actually called my pain neuropathic, which I felt at the time what they were really saying...that it was in my head. The doctor at University of land told me to get off the pain medication, and start taking an anti-depressant. Because of what he said, nothing happened for a full year and a half except alot of damage to my ignored pancreatic duct! But to prove this would be next to impossible. And on top of that, when they removed my gall bladder they neglected to put it in formaldehyde for it's trip to the lab, and so it was impossible to do any tests on it to see if there might be some further information gleamed from it. I would sue, if I felt that I could prove it. Which I can't. What looks obvious to you and me, would not to a judge and/or jury. Your case sounds much more forthright, and provable. If you can stand all that would be involved, and you can find a lawyer that is behind you, I'd say go for it! Robin R.
