Guest guest
Hi everybody, I just saw a PCP today to get another angle on the whole symptomatic pancreas divisum thing and she prescribed me kadian for the pain and zofram for the nausea. I investigated the kadian and see that it is a very long lasting morphine. I am to take that once a day and continue taking the oxycodone for break through pain - And to start a pain diary to see if this is helping at all. Now my question to you guys is: is this going to be a bigger hit on my system then the oxycodone as far as the side effects? (the loopiness and stuff? ) I am going to test it this weekend while I am at home, so no harm can come about in case it makes me do stupid things, and I am hoping that the bad side effects will be tolerated by Monday. But if there are any words of advice or caution that I should know about? I am excited to be trying something new! I am going to convince myself that both of these meds together will suppress all of the nastiness associated with pancreatitis - that way I will give the placebo a chance to kick in too. However, I want to be aware of any pitfalls that I may encounter too. Thanks everyone! Hope you all have a great weekend. laurie
