We just got our fourth vest on Friday and so far so good but it did show the service message again but I unplugged it a couple of times and finally it started working again. I'm hoping we don't have any problems with this one! The best thing about it is that it is small and has a nice carrying case. The one thing I don't like about it is when you get done with one setting the thing turns off and the settings go back to the beginning sometimes if I am really busy I forget what setting they are on (getting old is awful!) when the kids are a sleep they can't tell me either or sometimes they well just tell me it was there last so they can be done the little stinkers!! So there are good and bad they told me they were coming out with a newer vest in Oct ones that want be having as much problems as these one is. They said we can get that one if we are still having problems. I think we will after all of the problems we have had I don't trust it as well. I am so glad we still have the old stand by!! Hope this helps. Deb A
Guest guest
we received the " new " vest in May and it is very nice. It only weighs 17 lbs I think comes with it's own nifty duffle bag with zipper pockets on the side and two inner pockets to put the cords. The " bug " they mentioned is no big deal if you stop the vest before it's scheduled 10 minutes or whatever time limit it may tell you that something is wrong but all you have to do is unplug it and plug back in and it is fine. It is all digital and very easy to use, on the older model you have to hold down the black " button " for it to work this one you don't even need the button you just press start and it goes, you can adjust the time limit because once your 10 min is up it just stops but our daughter is almost 3 so it is just easier for us to set the clock for 20 and change the pressure after 10 is up. We really like the new size and the awesome bag that is a big help. > After a long battle with the insurance, we have been approved for the > best, hurray! > But I have a question, I got a postcard today from the vest saying > that since our claim had been approved we could inquire about the > newer, smaller but apparantly with some flaws model of the vest. I am just glad we have the old one just in case the new one fails us. I don't want you to not try it because I really do like it but it is different and I am a creature of old habit (another sign of old age). I also think it will be great once they do work the bugs out. Deb A
Guest guest
We just got our new small model or the " sport " model as I like to call it. We have the original and it works great, just like driving a tank with no power steering, the new one is quiet, small enough to be carry on, on a plane, and it doesn't require the child to keep the button depressed to keep it on. I haven't noticed any problems with the timer/counter, but we use it so much I don't care. I just love it, would love it if our old version would die so we could have two small ones..... Just my two cents... Guest guest
Thank you!! When I talked to the lady at the vest, and she started explaining what I was suppose to do, so on and so forth, I am thinking Oh my God, do I really want to do this? Your post helped me clear out my doubts. Now we can take it with us on the plane, when we travel! Thank you soooo much! > We just got our new small model or the " sport " model as I like to call it. > We have the original and it works great, just like driving a tank with no > power steering, the new one is quiet, small enough to be carry on, on a > plane, and it doesn't require the child to keep the button depressed to keep > it on. Guest guest
Deb, She said something about a false warning, that was one of the things that she rattle back at me, while I was trying to figure out wheather this was a good thing, and something about waiting a little longer between cycles, alzheimers is not setting in yet, after all. We have to send back our old one, so you can imagine how I feel. Yes, of course you helped, I need to hold on a little longer to the old one, until I feel pretty good about the new one. Thank you Deb! mom of a 10 wcf, Venanzio 7 nocf, Pepe 3 nocf > In a message dated 8/25/2003 7:25:40 PM Central Daylight Time, > annapalazola@y... writes: > > > > > > We have the new vest and we are now on our fourth one. Guest guest
We got the new machine three weeks ago and it works like a dream. (KNOCK ON WOOD) It is smaller and quieter. I haven't noticed any problems in the meter aspect of it. Then again, I haven't watched it closely either. Guest guest
has been using his vest for nearly three weeks now and we never heard of the flaw. I must admit that the neighbors are going to call children's services on us one of these days, likes to squeal when doing the vest. He loves to use it and it has helped us tremendously. I like the small size and ease of use. shannon _________________________________________________________________ Get MSN 8 and help protect your children with advanced parental controls. http://join.msn.com/?page=features/parental
