She is a very knowledgeable person as well I have known her for over 15

years, even before her TX. She really digs into info .I think maybe she was

a researcher in another life :):):) really very interesting site

Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act...

Hi everybody!!

I just read this a few minutes ago and I thought it was very

important. Risa is a patient w/cf that uses GSH and has done this

website to help, inform and let other people that are using GSH tell

their story.

I wrote my congressman and senator about both of these a while back. I just got

a standard reply form from the congressman, but the senator wrote a rather nice

letter. She said that this legislation was not targeting vitamin and mineral

suppliments and most herbals. The wording and aim of the document was to

control diet suppliments. Their aim was to better regulate those products that

increase matabolism like the ephedra and the ma juang (I know that's not spelled

right). I can kind of understand this as when I was a teenager my mom took me

to a doctor who vastly proclaimed the wonder of these " new all natural vitamins

to help you lose weight. " Here I am 15 years later with an abnormally high

heart rate. It would have been nice to know the side effects before I decided

to take them. It is probably only God's grace that kept me alive at the time as

I did a lot of track and field. There have been many reports over the past

several years of teens who have died while taking these suppliments and

exercising heavily.
