Ok, here is my response:

What kind of support do you have at Home ??

How can your spouse and Family and friends help you deal with RP?

My biggest source of support comes from my partner of 10+ years,

Jeaneen. Since my diagnosis in December, she has talked with me,

cried with me, laughed with me and helped me when I couldn't do

everything on my own. As she was before, she is my closest confidant

and I have been able to say anything I needed to, without worrying

about how it sounded. That has been what has been the most helpful.

In addition, my mom has been living with Rheumatoid Arthritis for 30

years and understands the " flares " and unpredictablity of a condition

like this. Because of her experiences, we share a lot of information

and support for each other. She lives in Portland (I'm in Seattle),

so we don't see each other more than once every couple of months, but

we email and talk on the phone a lot.

One of my sisters is very supportive and loving. She is one of my

closest friends. She keeps me positive.

I also have close friends who have been wonderful. They don't know

what to do, but they are there with their love and support.

The best thing that I have found that anyone can do for me, is to

understand how unpredictable this is, and to hang in there with me.

I feel like I have as much support as I could ever need, plus some!

I am very thankful.

And, if all else fails, my dog is always there to cuddle, play

or just bug me until I forget about myself! It's a good life.

, it sure sounds like you have a great support system. I'm so glad

to hear that. It is so important for us all. It really makes it a lot

easier if we have support right at home.

Thank you to you and Squeek for writing Part 3 of Heidi's thesis. LOL Come

on folks, lets hear from the rest of you.

, you reminded me of one very important part

of my support team, and that is my puppy! What would

I ever do without her? If I am down, and want to cry,

she is willing to just sit with me while I unload.

More often though, she is such a silly clown that she

mkes me laugh, and forget my troubles. I love her to

pieces. Thanks for the reminder. Love, squeek

Hi Judy,

Maybe I'm in a brain fog, but were you having knee surgery soon, like today?

If my mind has gone wacko just disregard this email. LOL
