Guest guest
I'm afraid to say that the cake is all gone. It was really good, surprised myself. I spent all weekend cooking Alson's favorite dinners. I cant eat a whole lot, and with the peg there isn't much room for food anyway, but I did eat too much myself. Paid the price too. Its hard sometimes to get everybodies schedules open to meet but when we do its like we spoke yesterday. Who will be doing your ercp? Are you going to have the gi's guy do the eus. Did Papas give you enough pain meds to cover you for a while? The whole pain med prescription thing really burns me up. I think I need to sit down and seriously figure out just how much pain med I need for 1 month. Then make sure the pharmacists has that much in stock before I go in. I wonder if there is a limit on the number of pills a physician can write for on a particular drug at one time? I'll ask MArk. I hope you rest well and feel better soon, let us know when your test are being done. Have you ever had any of those before? Many of us have had several so dont hesitate to ask. Warmly > I'm glad you had a nice visit with your friends and that you feel > good. Can I have some cake? I already blew the pancreatitis diet by > eating Bojangles fried chicken. Might as well add some cake to it. > tammy
Guest guest
Tammy: I just wanted to wish you luck with your ERCP. It took me a year and a half until I had my first one, and I said the same thing...they have to find something! And that is when I was first diagnosed with SOD, which resulted in pancreatitis. Dr. Kalloo felt that with enzymes and diet that my pancreas should settle down. Unfortunately, for me it has now been 2 years since then, and I still have daily pain. But I've heard of many others who once they have the sphincterotomy and/or stent that they get the relief they needed. I have heard so many good things about the medical care at Duke, so you are definitely in the right place. When I woke up from the anesthesia the first thing I said was, did they find something? And my husband telling me yes, and me bursting out in tears I was so grateful they finally found something. I was really starting to feel like it was in my head too! I made him get right on the phone and call everyone, that there really was something wrong! Of course, I'm no so happy now, but I won't give up hope. So, keep the faith! Hugs!
