Guest guest
Hi , I'm interested but will have to wait until a few weeks. I'm having some problems right now. But I need to start some kind of exercise program and then I would need all the encouragement I could get. lol I think you have a great idea, I like the book thing also. Take care, Love Lu and encourage each other. Just a thought. I don't know if it would help anyone else, but I'm having a hard time starting. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks! I am actually quite committed, and I do exercise, but I am always falling off the wagon, as it were, and it takes me a little time to get re- committed! At the moment I am trying to do my back exercises - these really help if I am consistent! I do pelvic tilts and crunches. I also try to do my triceps and biceps with one or two pound weights. Maybe two sets of twelve reps. Then I aim to do ten minutes on the exercise bike three times a day. Anything on top of that is a bonus!!! No I forgot to mention stretching. This is very important, I stretch after the aerobic part. Of course if you are in a cold climate you must warm up first, and if you are having any pain its a good idea to ice afterwards. I find the best way to exercise is to choose something you feel you can stick to, also to vary your routine, this makes your muscles work better, and its less boring! Music always helps, too. Also writing down what you have done helps, and you can see how much you improve (or not!) OK, can we have someone elses input, too? Lots of love, Liz __________________________________________________

Problem is, if I have pointy shoes, like Heidi, Glenda, and , I can't benefit when I kick my own butt, because I just get the heel. Guest guest
Hi - count me in too. I'll commit to three times a week, walking at least 20 minutes each time. Thanks for getting me motivated! -----Original Message-----From: mmjw3 Sent: Wednesday, February 13, 2002 10:37 PMTo: Rpolychondritis Subject: Exercise and encouragementHello!Does anyone want to start an exercise club with me? We could do whatever it is at our level, but commit to a certain number of times a week, doing a certain level of exercise, (to the best of our ability outside of increased flares) and then talk about it together and encourage each other. Just a thought. I don't know if it would help anyone else, but I'm having a hard time starting.Let me know if you're interested.
