Guest guest
Dear Chrissy, You mentioned at the end of an earlier post that you were starting to feel the stress of the life changing journey (my words) that you are about to embark on, and that you felt so alone. Knowing that you would be 800 miles away, and completely without family or friends, is naturally very frightening! I just wanted to let you know that the thoughts and prayers of all your friends here will accompany you. And something even better is to know that Lily plans to visit you while you are there. Although you haven't met her yet, she is a wonderful and compassionate friend like none other, and if she's able to get there, she'll do much to make you feel that you are not alone. She can bring cheer and laughter like an unexpected burst of sunshine....so I hope you will then be healed enough to laugh your socks off! She told me on the telephone Saturday night that she planned to visit you while you were in Ohio, and I know that you'll enjoy meeting her. You may have to warn the nursing staff beforehand, as she's apt to take over and make some heads roll if she doesn't think you're being cared for right! If it were me in that bed, there's no one I would welcome more than a visit from Nurse Lily. Your fears are truly understood, Chrissy. You will be in my prayers that this will not be so much of a life changing journey, as a life saving journey, and that when you return you'll regain all that you've lost, and more.
