Guest guest
Heidi, When you said, " this trauma does have a positive side to it " , It was such a refreshing reminder of what a kind and caring sprit you have. I went to an Indiana State Park last week and attended a United Methodist Women's Spiritual Encounter. The focus topic was Joy in the light of tragedy and despair. How could there be both? I left with such a renewed sense of empowerment over my disease. It is so easy to give your power away when you are in the role of a patient for any extended duration of time. My sister wrote a song called, " You took my joy, and I want it back. " I am continually in awe at the level in which you all handle your disease. We have lost many things, but we don not have to lose our soul.
