I just noted that bacon says it's allowed on the list (fried crisp).

I thought it has too much " junk " in it. Does anyone know a good brand

that you KNOW is legal?

I buy side port from a local butcher. If you sprinkle a little salt

on it as you cook it tastes just like bacon and doesn't have any of

the " junk " in it. My son is very sensitive to " junk " and we just

never did bacon even before SCD but this has given us a wonderful

breakfast change.

Side Port? Never heard of that. I assume something from a pig and

fresh. ??

She meant " pork. " Port is from a wine bottle. Funny!

A lot of bacon does have preservatives but the sugar free type is legal

and you can have the conventional kind once a week.

www.applegatefarms.com has a turkey bacon without alot of 'junk'.
