Oh, well, tomorrow's another day. We'll see how it goes. Hi Heidi, I know you took your enzymes right? Do you think that your liver or if you still have a gallbladder that they are the culprit? Did you have pain that limited your breathing? I used to have horrific pain that would come out of no where and I literally couldn't move or take normal breaths. I often thought during those times that I had a cyst on my pancreas and it burst. I never found a doctor who knew what caused such pain. I had a feeling that something burst inside of me and spread through out my chest and back. I was unable to move turn over, or breath correctly. After these attacks happened I had a CT scan and was told by the doctor that my left lung was fibrous. I never found out what make my lung fibrous but I always believed that my pancreas was at fault. I haven't had an attack like that since I had my pancreas removed. If your pain at dinner wasn't like the pain I described then have you ever experienced anything like what I had? Has anyone ever experienced pain that made you unable to breath, or even move. My enzymes weren't elevated from the problem. Driving to the hospital was so painful with even a very small bump in the road. I couldn't control my screaming. I can endure pain. I had pain with my pancreas from 1985 and then started having attacks in 1994. I had my TP/ICT in 2000. During the whole time I had pain and attacks with my pancreas I never went on pain meds except when I had an attack and was taken to the hospital. My point to telling you this is not to brag about not taking pain meds. Maybe I should have. Maybe if I had taken them I would have been able to eat at least something. The way I handled my pain was to not eat at all and to exist on TPN. As I look back on my illness I now wish I had taken pain meds. I believe my life wouldn't have been quite so difficult. The pain doctor we met at the symposium gave me much to think about. Dear Heidi, I hope and pray that you don't experience that pain and diarrhea again. I wish I could do something to help you. You are so beautiful and giving with your help to others. I am so sorry that you suffer so much and that your life is hindered by pancreatitis. I understand so well because I have been there. Please let me know how you are feeling. Love, Shirley

Guest guest
Heidi, I'm so sorry you are having such bad evenings the past few days. I hope they are clearing up. I know that I can have something similar happen, though not usually that bad, at night anytime after about 6pm. That's why, for a while, I have avoided eating dinner at all except for a boost or ensure. I have lately, however, that if I eat a small amount of food around 10-11 pm, I can usually handle that, though it has to be something light, like mashed potatoes (low fat ones) or cream of wheat or something similar. You are certainly in my prayers that this clears up soon. It gets old really quickly, I know. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
