Guest guest
DEAR JULIE, I am SOOOOOOOOOO sorry to hear this horrible day events......I cant think of what could possibly help ease your hurt & worry. !! It wasn't your fault for starters........ The grandmother should hold her tongue or have it clipped for such horrible statement. Better yet , give her CF for a day ---let alone for a lifetime. I am serious about that.......I really cant imagine someone being so thoughtless. You have always tried to be so fair about all you do......It is a real shame you cant take her off you invite list.................What does your hubby say about this?? I bet it really burnt him!! I hope the med cocktail will start on her & she will feel " all better " VERY soon. You take care of you Miss good mommy.............. You do all the right things at the right time. ----We love ya!! LOVE & HUGS< GrandmomBEv clinic appt. I have booked Eilish in for clinic tomorrow. Her cough is still pretty bad, after 3 weeks on Augmentin Duo. So I think we are looking at IV's in the next week or so. As long as it's after Wednesday. It's Liam's 9th birthday on Wednesday and we are always together for birthdays. I am having 20 adults and 9 year old boys here today for his party. Thankfully the weather is sunny and no rain. So I've enlisted my dad to do the bbq food, and is taking the boys across to the school for a footy match. Then they come back for party games and food. So at least I have 1 hour free in the middle of the party. I love kids parties. I am more excited than the kids. I love to organise the games etc. Well better go I need to brush Eilish's hair which can take 1/2 hour. (Australia)
Guest guest
The children probably had a great time. Maybe next year you can forget to invite the lady with the bitchy comment. Did Eilish sign 's cast? When will you get the sputum test results? Does Eilish have any fever? p.s. I am convinced that only parents with sick children can really understand what you are going through. As much as you try to lead a normal life, a dark cloud hangs over your head and you fear your child's uncertain future. At least, that's the way it is for me and I am the " grandma " . It must be harder for the " mother " . I wish that it wasn't so. Gale > Bev, > > The party was awful. It started fine. Then the dad's took the boys > over to play football. Guest guest
Grandma Bev, doesn't see what she does. I think men don't notice like we do. But even a friend of mine said today that mother-in-law was making her ill! She is one of those people who couldn't see her son's for her daughter and therefore don't see the son's children only the daughter's. I know it will be here that misses out on my kid's but it still hurt's. It's Liam's actual b/day tomorrow and I have the day off work. So I've already told Liam and Eilish we are not getting dressed, not going out but playing games all day. He doesn't know he has some new ones. We are great games players in this house. You should see Eilish play UNO. She whips us so much. We never let the kids win, they win on their own efforts. She is really good little player. Liam is also a good player. My parents and brother are coming for dinner then the kids are sleeping at mums. wants us to go to the cinema. I must be getting old as I said to him " not the 9.30pm session, I'll be in bed by then " . Of course he couldn't believe it. He said just this once I could stay up LoL! I am a early bird and am usually asleep by 9pm. You always cheer me up when I am having one of those days. You are a special lady. Love clinic appt. I have booked Eilish in for clinic tomorrow. Rainy days , etc. One we also play is BOGGLE..s of fun . ANYWAY.......Your right about some of the in-law stuff. That appears to happen in many families------not all----- but many! Guest guest
Bev, I remember my parents getting me boggle for my 12th birthday. We have played at least 8 games of junior monopoly today (in between 3 physio sessions and six neb's. Eilish is going to have her last liver scan tomorrow afternoon. The one she had about 5 weeks ago where they injected the dye in her arm came back fine. So I am hoping this one will also. Her Pulmonary Dr. rang me this afternoon to say her sputum was bug free, and he thinks it may be the nasty virus everyone seems to have in this state at the moment. Even Liam has it and her never gets sick. has no voice, blessing in disguise!!! The kids are sleeping at my parents tonight. and I have just gotten back from seeing Bruce Almighty at the movies. Not bad. Goodnight or morning for you. (Australia) clinic appt. I have booked Eilish in for clinic tomorrow. Her cough is still pretty bad, after 3 weeks on Augmentin Duo. Guest guest
I love games. We also , always had game night with neighbors & friends. My kids did the same thing With 5 very close in age. I had the area youth center. They had pool in back yard -pool table in game room & ping pong. Cards & every known board cage too. -Now my grandkids all do it too. Even over all the computer games & they have them all . From Nintendo -X-Box. They every play with others all over the world on the computer games too (18) plays in competition at the national games (held at different universities around) Kids have to take their own computers there :)HE loves it!! You all would have a blast over here with us too!!-Age doesn't matter. They let the little ones sit with them & as they get older , they actually play too. Your home sounds like a wonderful place to be. Have a great rest of the day-week Great about those test results . It appears they are fighting against each bug -very-well!! That's because you stay right up on it too. LOVE & HUGS, special wishes too GrandmomBEV clinic appt. I have booked Eilish in for clinic tomorrow. Guest guest
Katy I have to say that my wonderful DH is also an exception. He is a SAHD and takes great care of the kiddos, cooks me dinner, makes sure it is what I want every night, always makes sure I have plenty of my vanilla diet cokes, and much more. He is one of a kind. Just to add him into the mix. but I agree, Torsten falls into same category, even if he is much younger than us, lol take care, Jen Thanks for the encouragement. Guest guest
wonderful .....I am so sorry you've had such bad experiences with the " other sex " It sure can make a person feel not trusting of all. I agree with you ..What a grand thing to start. they should come home --make a house call thing & do what each family with CF has to do. It is always easy to tell someone what to do..........I hope all will smooth out soon. Time does many times help us all . I guess its the experience & practice of doing all the time--------With the weekend here-------maybe-just maybe it will be nice & calm for you LOVE & HUGS, GrandmomBEV Grandma Bev Thanks for the encouragement.
