Guest guest
, Thank you so much for your advice. An EUS is a endoscopic ultrasound---it's considered the gold standard for determing problems with the pancreas. I brought them with me to this appointment but the doctor only read the report, he did not review any of the two dozen films. I don't know what tho think about that? J.J. Guest guest
JJ, I am not sure what EUS is but are there any x-ray films that are taken when this is done? If so try to get them and take them with you on your next apt. I can tell you first hand how important this is. When I went to see Dr Lo at Cedars Sinai in November I took all of my films. He took one look at my MRCP and said " Oh, yeah, you have pancreas divisum. Do you see how this bile duct doesn' t attach to anything. It is just hanging there leading to nowhere " . I asked him why the person that originally read the films said they where normal. He replied that most people don't know what to look for. So please see if there are any films from previous test and take them with you next time. I didn't have to pay for any of them and I kept them for future use. Good luck, I hope you start feeling better soon. Simi Valley, CA
Guest guest
JJ, I would call his office and ask if he would review them. It couldn't hurt. Tell them you are trying to avoid any more procedures and maybe he will read them.
