Guest guest
Thanks *s* I don't feel it is as serious as my other 2 surgeries were..losing most of my colon, and then a resection of my duodenum (basically a small version of a whipple), as I'm not losing much body parts..I will lose some abdominal muscle and that will take a long time to come to terms with physically..the tumour in my chest, well, won't know what they find when they cut that open... The thing that is a bit nerveracking is that most doctors have found when they have a patient with these tumours cut open on the table, that they have caused more damage and are larger in size than how they appear on a CT scan. I just hope that my pancreatitis holds off long enough for me to get over this. Also, these tumours have a 70% reoccurance rate for me..and being cut is another source for them to grow..but I have no choice..drugs haven't worked yet, in fact have caused them to double in size..but I still feel that this is a much more minor surgery than my other 3.
