Guest guest
Hi all, Just wanted you all to know that Karyn called me from Arkansas late last night to give me the news that her mother, Lucy , has passed away. As most of you are aware, Karyn had been able to make the trip from Indianapolis to Fayetteville with her daughter last week, and so had been able to spend quite of bit of " quality time " with her mother and the rest of her family out there. Her Mom had been struggling with heart and lung failure for sometime. Yesterday morning, Lucy asked her nurses to remove the C-PAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) breathing assistance device be removed. The hospital notified Karyn of this request, and she and most of the rest of the family members were able to gather and be with her throughout the day. Karyn said that her Mom was made comfortable, and went in and out of sleep most of the day, and then went to sleep for the last time around 9pm last night. As any of you who have lost a parent know, this has been a difficult experience for Karyn, but she is very grateful that her own health " miraculously " improved enough to let her tolerate the trip out there, and to let her spend this past week in " quality time " with her Mom. The days to come will also be stressful, so I ask that you all continue to keep Karyn and the rest of her family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you all for all the love and support you have shown Karyn through this difficult time. --Tull tull3942@...
