Hi Deanna,

I went to my doctor today and he put me on Oxycodone 5mg. He said I only

have to take it every 8hrs. I was taking 2 10mg lortabs which didn't help so he

changed my pain med. When I talked to my doctor about the nerve block he said

it would only help for a short time so I decided to try a stronger pain med.

I do fine except when I have to drive. It causes the pain to be worse. I

have also lost 5 more pounds since 12/30/03. He said I need to eat more. I

just don't feel like eating.

Take care,

Patty

Hi Patty,

I how that your new medicine helps with your pain. Sometimes a takes a

little bit of time to tell if it will help. Sometimes they have to get

built up in our systems to work. I know that I'm impatient and think the I

took a pain pill and why isn't it working, but sometimes they don't work

quite that fast. It so easy for doctors or family members or anyone else

for that matter to tell us to eat more. But I do realize, that when you

don't feel like eating it's very hard to eat anything at all. I myself have

no appetite, either. I hope your new pain medicine does it job and gives

you some relief.

Take Care,

Louie in WV
