Guest guest
It always surprises me at the differences we all have in our reactions to meds, because, as you know, I take Percocet and do love it, it controls my pain and doesn't make me feel any differenly at all, yet Sandy, in her quest for an appropriate med for control of her pain, can't use Percocet because she said it makes her feel so " wired " . I had my sedation for my root canal at 10 a.m. this morning, and here it is 7:40 p.m. and I am still loopy as a rubber band. The dentist was very cautious, and took my low weight into consideration, but I'm still as " wired " up as I could be.. I asked him what he planned to use, he told me it would be valium to start, and then perhaps some demerol futher along. I don't know what he ended up using, once they woke me I was too groggy to ask, and they immediately assisted me out to the car andsent me home with Bob. I walked in the house and immediately went to bed, not waking until he woke me at 6:00 tonight. I am still wired and dopy, even unable to see correctly like when I was having high BG problems. I can't type well, either, my fingers have forgotten where the keys are, it's taking me forever just to type this letter which would normally take a couple minutes! I did check my blood sugar though, because of the vision distortion, and it's 85, which is normal for me. So anyhow, all I'm tying to explain is that certain durgs can really do wired, I mean, weird, things to us. Once I get my brain back, I'll be posting again. This has been some adventure. So if this is demoral with some valium mixed in, I'd have to say that demoral isn't something I'd ever be able to use on a home basis, for sure! Happily, the root canal went very well, and I have to go back for the cap later. I'm not sure when, since I don't remember any of the details afterwards, but I guess my husband will know.
