OK. So now I'm totally confused.

First, I don't know that we won't see " symptoms " anyone. This is for

autism not any kind of bowel/intestinal issue. Yes, these issues

exist but my daughter doesn't have bowel issues. So would you say

we're free of symptoms?

Since we believe autism symptoms have links to intestinal issues, that

is a very difficult question to answer. I don't have frequent bowel

issues but can't eat advanced foods very often after six years. This

may disillusion some who thought by then a person would be cured, but I

am thrilled just to be under control.

Also if you are the exception, others may just assume Larabars are OK

across the board after three months, six months or after no " D " etc.

etc. and maybe they might be for some, but not for all.

There are people who get really excited about being able to order ready

made food, but I'm afraid I get excited over finding the things I make

at home are very good and worry free.

Digestive Wellness does not list the chocolate and chocolate mint

Larabars. My reference was the Larabar home page. The ones on DW seem

to have legal ingredients and they qualify the " natural lemon " flavor

but Cheri, if you decide to use these and see suspicious symptoms,

please be cautious. By saying this I am not saying they are legal as I

don't have that authority.

Personally I would not take the risk. We are having such good success with home

made foods, takes longer but it has been worth the inconvenience. Seeing our

autistic daughter get well has been such a blessing. I can't imagine anything

being worth such a risk at this time. Seeing her vanish into deliriums was bout

all I could take. But then maybe I am more motivated to stay safe than others,

since I had advanced celiac and neurological issues too, and we are a family of

five on this journey back to health.

My daughter does not have GI issues either but I am careful not to

give her advanced SCD foods. She recently had some dried fruit and

her stims increased. My daughter has been on SCD for a long time but

always cheats so we never get to the advanced level with her.
