Guest guest
To all those who have decided to join the exercise group just want to say that if you are going to walk, please, start out slowly. A person doesn't have to speed walk to get the benefits of walking. A little ways each day is great and slowly increase the distance. I Hey will walking down the halls of my house count and around the kitchen through the dinning area? I have a big house, I figured surely this would be a start. Guest guest
Lu, That's a perfect start. You might want to set a timer or watch the clock and set a goal of walking for 5 minutes, 10 minutes or whatever is right for you. Try to accomplish this goal at least 3 times. Then add in an extra minute or two and go for 3 more times. That way you can build up slowly and get an established routine going. But watch out - it's habit-forming! Guest guest
Jean, is that when you walk with the poles, likecross country skiing? Yes Liz, its exactly that. You may use your cross country skiing poles, but the most important is: warm up before you go on the walk. warming up is very important. Now I am just taking profit of the beautyful sunshine, and go walking have a nice weekend all you, a weekend without flairs or pain. hugs Jean
